Our Polish visitor!

What a great story time. Monika came to read us a story in Polish which Ellie then read in English. It was so interesting to hear about how Monika had felt when she first came to England and was in Year 2 but could not understand a word of English. She is now fluent in both languages and taught the children how to say hello in Polish. Thank you Monika!

We had a great time this week learning about colour and collage. We made a life sized collage of Matisse's 'The Snail' by tearing and placing large sheets of paper that we had previously painted. We couldn't believe how big it was. What do you think?

Year 2 at Heron are about to enter the world of blogging. We might not manage it everyday, like our Y6 friends, but we will see what happens and how we get on adding to our brand new blog.
